How does the Digital ID on the back of the watch work?

 Each watch features a unique, laser-engraved QR code. If your child ever wanders too far, a helpful adult can scan the code with any smartphone to instantly access the emergency contact details you’ve chosen to share.

What information will be shown when the code is scanned?

 You are in total control. Through our app, you decide what appears—usually a parent’s phone number, an alternative emergency contact, and any critical medical alerts (like allergies).

Is my child’s data secure?

 Absolutely. Unlike GPS, the QR code doesn't "broadcast" a location. It is a passive safety net that only reveals your contact info when scanned. Our servers are encrypted to ensure your private details stay private.

Does someone need a special app to scan the watch?

 No. Any standard smartphone camera can read the QR code. It will instantly open a secure mobile webpage with your designated "Help" information.

Will the QR code wear off over time? 

We know kids are active! That’s why the code is laser-etched into the high-quality case back. It won’t fade, peel, or scratch off during playground adventures or sports.

What if I change my phone number?

 No problem. You don't need a new watch. Simply update your contact information in the FIND MY FAMILY app, and the QR code will automatically link to your new details.
